Product application
Hot-rolled products have excellent properties such as high strength, good toughness, easy processing and forming, and good weldability, so they are widely used in manufacturing industries such as steel, construction, machinery, boilers, and pressure vessels.
Application range:
(1) Processing into ordinary cold rolling after annealing;
(2) The galvanizing unit with annealing pretreatment device processes galvanizing;
(3) Panels that basically do not need to be processed.
Q235 is divided into four grades (A, B, C, D), with differences in phosphorus (P), sulfur (S) content, and deoxidation processes:

Notes:
Q235D exhibits the best low-temperature toughness, suitable for low-temperature environments (e.g., -20°C impact testing).
Grade A allows rimmed steel (incomplete deoxidation), while Grades B, C, D require fully killed or special killed steel (complete deoxidation, fewer impurities).

Key Notes:
Yield Strength: All grades require ≥235 MPa (for thickness ≤16mm).
Tensile Strength: Ranges 370–500 MPa, influenced by thickness and rolling processes.
Impact Energy: Grades B, C, D must meet V-notch impact test requirements at specified temperatures.
Thickness Impact: Slight reduction in yield strength is allowed for thicker plates (e.g., Q235B ≥225 MPa for thickness >16–40mm).
